Black Cat Ranch is roughly 125 acres in the Grouse Ridge area of Steamboat Springs. Over 30 acres are coastal hay meadow. The rest is largely small aspen with mixed grass woodlands.
We are building a home on the property currently but will not be full time there for the next four to five years as our youngest is just beginning high school.
I have both Ohio farming experience and nearly thirty years of Texas ranching experience but no cold weather ranching experience.
The property is not yet fenced but my goal is to complete such.
The ranch has ag exemption for the hay management and woodland forestry plan.
I seek a lease agreement that would consider grazing cattle of their own, help with the fencing of the property, as well as keep an eye on things during our absences.
